What is PlayStation?
PlayStation, abbreviated as PS, is a line of game consoles developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. PlayStation has five major releases so far. The first PlayStation console was released in Japan in December 1994 and was dubbed the PS I.
The PlayStation I (PSI) will be followed by the PlayStation 2 (PS2) in 2000, the PlayStation 3 (PS3) in 2006 and the PlayStation 4 (PS4) in 2011. PlayStation is a well-known brand in the gaming industry.
PS5 pros and cons
PS5, PlayStation 5, is the successor to PS4 in the PlayStation lineup. It is also a home video game console first announced in 2019. The PS5 came with some next-level features over the existing PS4 and is likely to be a significant upgrade from the PS4.
It has a brand new design, higher resolution support, faster storage and SSD support. It has improved gaming performance in every way, adding faster memory and storage, a powerful GPU, a next-gen controller, and support for Ultra HD resolution.
PlayStation 5 is better than PlayStation 4 in every way. Sony introduced the PS5 in two flavors, Standard and Digital. So you can choose between a traditional disc edition and an all-digital edition.
The standard edition costs $499, while the digital edition is cheaper at $399. Either way, you get the same specs, like the same faster SSD, same graphics, same performance, and more.
The PS5 launched on November 12, 2020 in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Mexico, Singapore and South Korea, and other major markets a week later.
Benefits of PS5
The PS5 is an excellent gaming console that offers an exciting next generation gaming experience. The P5 is a super powerful and well designed game console.
1.powerful technology
The PS5 comes with the most promising technology. Speed, power and resolution are the PS5's main qualities that deserve to be praised. With the introduction of SSD in PS5, performance speed is vastly improved over HDD based consoles.
Custom SSD offers dramatically reduced load times and offers a level of performance unattainable with PS4 or other game consoles. The PS5 features other high-end components like high-end graphics chips and AMD controllers that are equally responsible for delivering high performance.
PS5 also offers games in 4K resolution at a rate of 120Hz and also supports 8K resolution. The new Tempest Audio Engine in PS5 improves sound in games, providing a realistic 3D audio experience. The combination of power and speed in the PS5 delivers the best user experience ever.
2. Controller
The controller on the PS5, better known as the DualSense gamepad, comes with some top-notch features that are likely to improve gameplay significantly. While the basic layout of the controller is similar to the DualShock 4, the DualSense has superior build quality as well as some additional features.
The PlayStation 5 DualSense controller is sure to give you a gaming experience like never before. The company worked on some specific details and integrated some features like haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and motion controls into the controller, offering a real-time gaming experience and also more precision.
Microphone is also added to the controller, which allows players to communicate with each other. It has an elegant design and also feels good in the hand. The DualSense gamepad is undoubtedly a next generation controller.
3. Faster SSD
Previous versions of PlayStation did not have an SSD as a storage unit, but the PS5 introduced a custom SSD feature. This is one of the reasons behind the PS5's high performance. PS5 comes with a custom SSD that offers a read bandwidth of 5.5GB per second, which is fast compared to other game consoles.
PS5 SSD performs read/write operations much faster than PS4 HDD and therefore offers better speeds. Game loading time is significantly reduced by SSD because SSD has faster read/write time. Game files can be read and presented to the system in a fraction of a second, improving overall performance.
4. Compatibility with previous versions
The company stated that more than 99% of games available on PS4 can be played on PS5. You definitely wouldn't need a PS4 if you had a PS5.
The high performance of PS5 allows you to play almost all PS4 games on your PS5 and run even better on it.
PS5 is compatible with both PS and PSVR, with some exceptions detailed later. Games available on PS Now and PS Plus are also playable on PS5.
5. Exclusive
One of the main reasons to buy the PS5 is the exclusive games that you can't play anywhere else. This is the PlayStation's biggest advantage over the X-Box.
God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man, The Last of Us Part I are some of the exclusive titles. The transition of these PS5 exclusive games also makes them playable on PS5.
There are also PS5 exclusive games like Deamon's Soul and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. With the PS5, Sony has continued its tradition of also providing exclusive products.
6. Playstation Plus
PS Plus is a PlayStation subscription service that gives you access to around 20 games from the PS4 catalogue. Playstation Plus games include first-party games like God of War and Bloodborne, along with third-party favorites like Persona 5 and Fallout 4.
7. Graphics and Resolution
PS5 is equipped with Graphic Fidelity technology that takes game resolution to a whole new level. PS5 supports 4K video output at 120 Hertz and also 8k resolution. With the PS5, Sony has significantly increased clock speeds and the number of processing units.
The GPU (Graphical Processing Unit) of the PS5 is about eight times more powerful than that of the PS4. The combination of Ultra HD resolution and super graphics gives you the best gaming experience. If you are looking for a true next-gen gaming experience then PlayStation 5 is the best option for you.
8. Ability streaming
Game consoles can do more than just play gamesvideo games: Latest consoles are also availablestreaming video. PS5 supports dozens of streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Apple TV, etc. You can watch late-night movies, watch sports, TV shows, and a bunch of other things.

Disadvantages of PS5
1. Limited storage
The size of video games is quite large and most video games occupy up to 100 GB of system memory. So there might be an issue with the storage system as it only offers 825GB of storage.
The provided storage capacity must fill up quickly. External HDDs or SSDs offer more flexible options to expand storage as per our needs, but we cannot store PS5 games or store them on external storage (HDD or SSD).
2nd size
The PlayStation 5 is the largest in the PlayStation series and Sony's largest gaming console. It is approximately 15 cm high, 10 cm deep and 4 cm wide. Given the size, you'll need to clear up a lot of space next to your TV. Due to its size, it weighs around 4.5 kilos.
3. Not fully backward compatible
PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 and very few PlayStation Now games. It can play almost all, about 99% of PS4 games. There are few games which are not PS5 backwards compatible and therefore cannot be played on PS5. But what if someone wants to play an old game? Accessing your old PS4 games is next to impossible on the PlayStation 5.
